I am Allergyboy
As far back as I was 7, I remember always waking up with hardened snot all over my nose. So gross… And come the rainy and christmas seasons, my nose would just be running like a racehorse. Then there were the constant sore throats, sinus aches and marathon sneeze fests (my record - ten in a row). Now, I didn’t actually know what I had or what was wrong with me up until I was about 23 years old. Apparently, I have what is known as allergic rhinits. I have a whacked immune system that overeacts when certain allergens (like dust) enter my nasal passage resulting in an inflammed upper respiratory tract. It’s a bitch. Really. It is. But thank goodness for my good doctor and the medication he prescribes me (my friend, Sam, thinks i’m a junkie).
Antihistamine is my friend.
I love it. It takes away my snot, and makes me sleepy. To the person who invented it, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
So this is my blog. Just some random thoughts from the mind of an adorably, goodlooking chronic sneezer.

Hey choob! I’ve missed you! Haha, this makes me laugh I have the same thing - and I take claritin or verlix, and yup its the best* I remember pa rollerblading in your house when we were grade 7 and doing that funny walk!

hey there cuz! ya know this is my first ever blog post.. hehe.. and I just remembered u sharing this piece of info with me a couple of years back lol. Allergies, nasty buggers… well I have nothing interesting to say really (except some geeky scientific facts about the neurobiology action of antihistamines)..but i do sympathize… oh oh yeah FYI though i’m not sure about the person who invented it, I know Benadryl was the first to make them… the bad kind though, the ones that really mess up ur brain (sever sedative lol)… take care cuz! miss ya much

Hey Peewee! Nice to hear from you! I take celestamine and i use this nasal spray called flixotide (smells like roses). I actually just had an allergy attack this morning. hehe. Yes I still remember that funny walk! One… Two… Three… 1-2-3! hehe. I remember this girl who saw us pa and she was just laughing at what we were doing.

um… i still don’t have anything interesting to say about ur blog post… hehe but i guess we can make our email worthy comments public domain as well lol… um my PhD is suckin the lyf outta me… hehehe no not entirely… I still have my anime obsession to keep me going… but yeah its coming along… BUT YES GO to Boston!!! NOW! Before pollen takes over, yup THOSE are nasty buggers… you would need loads of medication for that! I wouldn;t want you high all day!

Yea your mom was telling me about your adviser and how he takes so long to return comments and revisions on your papers. But she also says that he’s very well respected. Don’t worry, you’ll eventually get published and all the work will be worth it. Woohoooo!
